  1. 1.) I will let them feel that they don’t have a difference to my own regular students. I will not treat them base on their status in life. Poverty should not be a hindrance for learning; I believe that learning should be initiated by our own self and serve as your inspiration to reach your goal life.
2.) Yes, we can influence the life and values of adult learners. Nowadays, modern technology plays a big part in learning. Like in my current job, I have colleagues who are already on their 40’s or 50’s who at first had difficulties in making adjustments in the call center business but with proper training they able to manage to cope in a world where the only constant thing is change.

  3. 1. Street children doesn't really realize that they are less fortunate to others until they're adolescents. Wat i will do is while they are still young, i will spend some of my time teaching them the basics of education. Instead of the usual book reading kind of lesson, I will help them in kind of activities that will look like just a game for them but they are learning already while playing. My philosophy is quality education at its simplest form. And just by sharing time with them for playing and learning will make a lot of difference already as they will think that going in school is fun.

    2. Yes. Learning never stops. Everyone as long as they are alive still learns something everyday. With proper motivation, adult learners can still maximize their potential to learn all the new things that surround them.

  6. gender, race or economic status. It also states that a teacher should dedicate herself into teaching regardless of financial gains.I believe that I can make a difference in the life of our street children using this philosophy of education in the following ways: (a) Dedicate extra time separate from my usual work schedule and use it to teach
street children in my own place or a place allowed by the barangay; (b) Without any financial gains in teaching street children, I can also dedicate a portion of my earnings to provide materials for them and since this portion of my earnings may not suffice, I can also ask help from other organizations to participate in this advocacy of teaching street children; (c) The content of my teaching for these street children will not only contain academic concepts, but will include values and means for them to earn such as handicraft which they can immediately use; (d) Give them options for formal education and help them in this pursuit such as assisting them to apply for a scholarship. Since most of scholarship requires poor deserving students, I will make them deserving of these scholarships; (e). These street children needs a support system, and if the hindrance to their studying are their parents who force them to work, I will also do my best to teach these parents and help them make a living such as livelihood or I can refer them to employers.

    2. I believe we can influence the life and values of adult learners by means of my philosophy of education because learning is not only about the academics, learning is also about how to make good decision, how to become good leaders, how to become good parents and a lot more. Example of this is Rep. Manny Pacquiao, who failed to finish school in his early days because of poverty, but when he had his luck, he started studying again, and now he is a leader who always speaks his mind about good values and humanitarian actions.

Together we can help the street children live a life of dignity. We can help them become self-sufficient so they don’t rely on aid and we can help them support their family. We can improve the non-formal education by physically being involved in street children affairs like volunteering twice a week at a center that caters those group of children. There should be a systematic learning opportunities which are organized outside the framework of formal system of education and addresses learning of the street children. One way is helping the rehabilitation of these children; keeping them off drugs; stopping them from running away or being wild; making them like learning; providing them with survival skills; and counsel them.

    2. Can we influence the life and values of adult learners by means of our philosophy of education? Prove your answer.

Adults face specific difficulties when learning. They may be highly conservative and often disregard the views of others Their attitude toward learning is affected by their past experiences, positively or negatively. By contrast, children learn something as requested by adults, even if the subject is not interesting. Adults decide what they want to learn for themselves. Adults learn best by doing. This idea is expressed in the proverb: "What I hear is what I forget; what I see is what I remember; what I do is what I understand". Adults learn through experiences. When learning, adults bring along their own experiences. It is therefore necessary to respect and incorporate their experiences in the learning process. Adults learn best in a non-formal atmosphere where they can feel accepted and supported by the trainers and other trainees. In summary, adult learning is most effective when it is based on experiences, reflection, addressing immediate needs, self-responsibility, participation, feedback, empathy and takes place in a safe and comfortable environment. The most effective learning is from shared experience, either by discussing adult learners’ past experiences or by developing new experiences through practical exercises in the field. Participants learn from each other and the teacher often learns from the participants
