    • Make a good first impression.
    • Come in with enthusiasm and show you are excited to be there.
    • Address problem behavior directly and immediately.
    • Addressing a problem early lessens the chance that it will expand.
    • Know the power of proximity
    You can accomplish more through your body language than through your voice.
    Put your body next to problems.
    Put your body in-between students who are disruptive.
    Know how to work one-on-one with students while not turning your back on the rest of the class.
    • Think Prevention
    Consider how you can manage the learning process to prevent undesirable behaviors (i.e. classroom set-up, opportunities for students to interact, active involvement, clear communication of expectations, structuring for success).
    • Model behaviors you expect from the students: mutual respect, active listening, interest in learning, subject enthusiasm, open mindedness, positive attitude.
    • Know the schools’ procedures regarding such things as code of conduct
    • Make your lessons relevant and interesting to your students.
    Use examples that interest students.
    • Teach positively and show your enthusiasm. Passion is contagious.
    • Non-Verbal Cuing.
    Non-verbal cues can be effective to show the class that the noise level is too high.
    Tell the student up-front what is your cue, and use it throughout the presentation.
    Cues can be a bell, a clicker, flipping the light switches.
    They can also be facial expressions, body posture and hand signals.
    2 .Identify some routinaries activities that will contribute to a well- managed classroom
    -Greet students at the classroom door and tell them what to do when they enter the classroom.
    - Practicing preventive measures, such as washing hands after handling pets or wiping noses, help to educate children to achieve life-long health practices. Taking appropriate action when children are sick will minimize the spread of germs.
    Dramatic play gives children the opportunity to discover an array of roles and responsibilities. It provides a vehicle through which they make sense of their world. Dramatic play is enhanced by space, time, props, materials, and supportive teachers.

    a. Time must be apportioned for all planned activities for the day. (Routine activities must be at the backdrop since they will be undertaken anyway whatever methodology will be followed)
    b. Discipline is better understood as behavior control. (An undisciplined classroom will unnecessarily result to waste of time, effort and resources)
    c. Consistent effort at good record-keeping activities result in tracking daily attendance, progress in classroom and home assignments and in periodic academic achievements.
    d. An appropriate teaching methodology, including the steps to be followed and the materials to be used will eliminate in pursuing the well-defined lesson objectives.
    e. Provide a spacious and comfortable physical arrangement through a seating arrangement suited tit e methodology to be used, careful placement of bulletin board and exhibits and proper ventilation and lightning.
    f. Establishing routine activities before and during a lesson contributes to a smooth flow of activities, thus lessening unnecessary disruptions and difficulties in performing step-by-step procedures.
    g. Developing the positive values and attitudes is the third important goal of teaching the other two being the acquisition of knowledge and cultivation of skills.

    a. Routine could be scheduled on a weekly or monthly instead of daily basis. (this practice gives a leeway in spending a little more time for an activity that the students are so eagerly pursuing)
    b. Plan a routine for an entire class rather than for an individual or a group.
    c. Plan a procedure for the whole unit with a corresponding time allotment for each topic.
    d. During students’ interest to a lesson is at its peak, you may extend your time for the sake of additional learning and experience being achieved.
    e. Give clear and direct instructions to avoid guessing on what to do next.
    f. Practice some signals that would mean the class is about to start and they must be ready
    g. Model time consciousness.

    a. Explain classroom rules and penalties at the beginning of school year.
    b. Dedicate time to check/correct/complement discipline: attendance, cleanliness, attitude
    c. Identify leaders/officers to help in implementing rules.
    d. Prepare the lesson before the start of the school year and include interesting activities to avoid inattention of students.
    2. Routine activities for a well-managed classroom
    a.Check attendance using the seating arrangement
    b.Follow a seating arrangement: slow learners partnered with good learners from front to back.
    c. Have an assigned team every day to clean the room at the end of class.
    e. Have time to talk to the students everyday.
    f. Periodically meet with the officers to make sure they do their responsibilities as well.
    g.Provide time for an ice breaker if students seem to be sleepy in class.

    -Be consistent in implementing rules.
    -Be prepared, students now a days are very skillful and intelligent, that's why you should have alternative and backup activities ready.
    -Create an attractive, enriched environment. Get students involved by asking them to decorate their own classroom. Use student work to decorate when possible, ans show examples.


    2. Routine activities for a well-managed classroom.
    --group activities, that will allow slow learners to also participate in every task.

    --give lively activities to avoid boredom in the classroom

    --assign groups to help in making the classroom well managed. this will also let the child to learn the value of helping

    -Be prepared. don't let the students overturned you. always have with you your lesson plan.
    -Be consistent. when you implement some rules you must stick with it.
    -Be artistic. create good environment in class using your skills for you to have their attentions.

    -Lively activities every start and end of your class. it will help you to win their attention to your subject
    -assign some cleaners that would maintain the tidiness of the class room.

  6. 1.Principles to Maintain a Well-Managed Classroom
    a)Classroom practices and procedures must be predictable and consistent. The students must know from day to day how the classroom is structured and organized. For example is they break a pencil, they know what to do. If they are tardy, need help from the teacher or move from one activity to the next, they know what to do. There is no yelling of instructions.
    b)Students are deeply involved with their work especially with academic, teacher-led instructions.
    c)Students must know what is expected of them and are generally successful.
    d)There is relatively little wasted time, confusion and disruption.
    e)The climate of the classroom is work-oriented but relaxed and pleasant.

    2. Routine Activities

    a)Stand at the classroom door with a big smile and a ready handshake.
    b)Have assigned seats to every student. Seats are assigned to maximize learning and classroom management and minimize behavior problems. The teacher must know what the students are to accomplish ( by height/age; alphabetical order; peer-group tutoring; paired problem solving; placing lower functioning and more challenging students at the front of the room; etc).
    c)Have a spot ready with schedule, rules, procedures and calendar.
    d)Have the assignment posted before the students walk in. Post the assignment in the same consistent location everyday.
    e)Take roll after the students are on-task. Take roll quietly and quickly
