  1. 1.Why is partnership of school & community a contributing factor on the development of the learners knowledge, skills & attitudes? Cite some instances to prove.
    In school learners are being taught about theories and these theories come to life upon applying on the real life or scenario. So in the community it serves as a training ground for learners to apply what they have learned inside the school.
    Like in the subject home economics subject it teaches our students simple carpentry, electronics, cooking and dressmaking which they can apply at home.
    2.Identify some of the learning resources in the community & explain how these affect the learners.

    • Churches– Religion and morality should go hand in hand. Whatever character is found in the church is the joint product of the home, the school, and the community life.
    • Museum - in every community there are objects of natural and historic interest. Learners can connect to history for they can actually seen and examined the things they’ve learned in their classes.
    • Newspaper – Newspaper shares present history. It reflects the world’s life and activity. It makes the students aware of what’s happening in their surrounding.

    Partnership between school and community could collaborate with one other for establishing a conducive learning environment in the school and an orderly citizen in the community.
    a. The school officials could participate in community projects for out-of-school projects in return the community officials could provide for the physical facilities of the school.
    b. A peaceful and safe community could contribute to a better educational habits of the students.
    c. Outstanding School and community officials could be honored to provide motivation for the students.
    d. Community can serve as rich sources of instructional materials especially on field trips.

    2. Identify some of the learning resources in the community & explain how these affect the learners.

    a. Clean rivers, town library, factories and other industrial establishment could be learning centers for field trips.
    b. Recreational areas and concert halls offer enjoyable entertainment for all.
    c. Parks and beaches become relaxation areas for school children together with their teachers and families.
    d. Professional and practitioners from the community can be invited as resource speakers during observance of significant school rites.

  3. 1. I can identify two reasons for the partnership between school and community. a) Because the students learning and discipline should be continuous and since they are exposed everyday in school and their community, there should be communication with the school/teacher and the community leaders as well as the family of the student; b). Because students should live in a safe environment so they can enjoy living and learning to the fullest and so that they will imbibe the god environment and become good human beings as well.
    2. The learning resources in the community are: a)the people within the community, b)the activities in the community (fiesta, procession, etc), and c)the surrounding institutions they see in the community (church, house, business, school, etc). Students encounter situations that require simple to complex problem solving relating to the community.Because of this, the community becomes the source of real-life experience learning.

    ---because with the help of community, students' learning will be continues, the learning occurs not only in the classroom or school, but also in the community where in students are also a memember. They will also experience the difference of the of the outside environment and of the school.

    -- The projects or the programs of the barangay is one of the learning resources, this will involve students, and will exercise their socializing skills and also they will learn and can enhance the skills within them.

  5. 1. Learning does not happen only in the classrooms but everywhere. Even if schools teach students the right manners, it will be hard for students to apply if the community is not in the same page of the lessons being taught by schools. Activities beyond schools are now more important because this is where the students interact with everyone, not just classmates and teachers.
    For example, even if we teach students to help the elderly but all they see in our community is the other way around, it will be confusing to children. So it is better for schools and community to help each other to develop young minds with one aim and goal.

    2. Television is one of the most direct resource of information and can be used as a tool for developing learners into a model citizen. Everyone watches television and it will be better if TV shows can help in developing young learners into being a good individual. Another one is the barangay itself. They can have activities that will help children to be more responsible in the environment.

  6. 1. Strong parent involvement is one factor that research has shown time and time again to have positive effects on academic achievement and school attitudes. There should be a continued communication, partnership, and involvement among parents, families and communities. Parents has numerous rights that teachers and administrators must respect in spite of some challenges they may present to school. These includes: (1) the right of their children to a free, safe and appropriate public education; (2) the right to receive information concerning education decisions and actions that parents can comprehend; (3)the right to make informed decisions; (4) the right to be involved in discussions and plans concerning disciplinary actions towards their children. One way is through Parent-Teacher Conference; Parent Resource Center that provides a system
    of social and educational support.
